Kamikaze - RHUBARB
As soon as I heard Exerciser I knew I would love this great new band from Brisbane, but Exerciser is only one side to the multi dimensional band Rhubarb. Exerciser is a near perfect piece of rock/pop all thou it weighs in at a measly 1.38. but there are many more fine tunes on this album. Take Holiday for example, another fine song totally different song to Exerciser with a chorus you can't get out of your head " I'm falling apart I'm missing you" and other classic songs like, Zero, Kamikaze and Nice Girls. I can't stop myself comparing this band to ex-pat Brisbanites Custard, lets face it their names sound the same, their music is similar and the song writing style is almost identical. It could also be that Custard have a song called Nice Bird. So in closing I would just like to say that Rhubarb are far more that Custard wanna-be band, and this album is a corker, do yourself a favour go grab yourself a copy. 8/10
